To the left stands the Tyche of Adramyteum, facing right, holding a long transverse scepter; to the right stands the Tyche of Mytilene, facing left, holding a Dionysiac herm. The composition symbolizes the alliance and concord (Homonoia) between the cities of Mytilene and Adramyteum. The reverse legend, distributed around the field, records this civic concordance agreement in Greek. |
