| Obverse description | Laureate, cuirassed and paludamentum-draped bust of the emperor Marcus Aurelius facing right, depicted from behind in the three-quarter rear view characteristic of provincial bronze coinage of Asia Minor. The portrait displays the emperor's characteristic beard and imperial military attire. The encircling Greek legend reads ΑΥ ΚΑΙ Μ ΑΥΡΗΛΙ ΑΝΤΩΝΕΙΝ, abbreviating his imperial titulature. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, consistent with Mysian provincial workshop production. |

| Reverse description | Heracles depicted nude, standing facing with head turned to the left, rendered in a robust, classical style typical of Mysian civic coinage. In his right hand he holds his characteristic club, while his left arm bears the Nemean lion skin; a bow is also associated with his attributes. The figure stands on a ground line at the centre of the flan, surrounded by the Greek civic legend naming the local magistrate and city ethnonym. The reverse legend ΕΠΙ Γ Ι ΝΙΚΙΟΥ ΑΡΧΟΝΤΟϹ ΓΕΡΜΗΝ references the eponymous archon Nikias under whose magistracy the coin was issued at Germe. |
