| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, portrayed in three-quarter view from the rear, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder and the cuirass rendered in fine detail. The effigy displays Hadrian's characteristic short beard and wavy hair beneath the laurel wreath. The Greek legend is disposed in two groups across the field, flanking the imperial portrait. The engraving style is consistent with the fine Alexandrian workshop tradition of the Hadrianic period. |
