| Beschrijving keerzijde | Tetrastyle temple depicted in frontal elevation, its four columns framing a standing male deity or heroic figure rendered in three-quarter view to the right, clad in a short military chiton. The figure holds a double axe (labrys) and a spear, attributes consistent with a local Carian deity or hero. Two feline animals, possibly lions, are positioned at the figure's feet, reinforcing the divine or heroic iconography. The architectural setting and figural type reflect the strong local religious traditions of Ceramus in Caria. The reverse legend, distributed around the design, records the name and offices of the local magistrate responsible for the coin's issue. |
