| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Emperor Elagabalus facing right, depicted with elaborately decorated cuirass and aegis, rendered in a three-quarter frontal perspective. The imperial portrait conveys the characteristic style of Severan-era provincial coinage, with finely worked armor details visible on the shoulder and chest. The obverse legend encircles the bust in Greek characters identifying the emperor by his adopted Antonine nomenclature. |
