The emperor's paludamentum and segmented cuirass are rendered in considerable detail, conveying imperial military authority. A small circular countermark appears in the lower right field. The encircling Greek legend names the emperor by his dynastic titulature. |

The wreaths, prizes of the three named sacred games — the Olympia, the Augusteia, and the Pythia — are individually distinguishable. The multi-line Greek legend distributed around and beneath the table identifies the civic magistrate (grammateus) responsible for the issue and proclaims Tralles' coveted neocorate status. |
