Obverse description Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Elagabalus facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the rear, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder and the cuirass elaborately rendered on the chest. The youthful effigy displays characteristic Severan portraiture with tightly curled hair beneath the laurel wreath. The encircling Greek legend occupies the broad flat border of the flan.
