Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Elagabalus facing right, depicted from behind with the paludamentum visible across the shoulder. The effigy is rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of the Lydian conventus, with the legend encircling the bust in Greek characters. The portrait displays the characteristic youthful features associated with Elagabalus's coinage from Asia Minor.
