Obverse description Bare-headed, laureate bust of the emperor Claudius facing right, with a draped shoulder visible at the truncation, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Cypriot imperial coinage. The effigy is boldly modelled, occupying the majority of the flan, with the laurel wreath clearly articulated across the brow. A Latin legend curves around the periphery of the coin, reading partially along the upper and right fields.
