Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Caracalla facing right, depicted from the rear in the characteristic Greek provincial style, showing the paludamentum fastened at the shoulder and articulated pteryges at the lower cuirass. The imperial effigy is rendered with a short beard and the radiate laurel wreath typical of the Severan period. A continuous Greek legend encircles the bust within the field.

Reverse description Tetrastyle temple with four columns surmounted by a rounded arch or domed pediment, enclosing a frontal cult statue of Samian Hera standing within the sanctuary. The architectural rendering reflects the famous Heraion of Samos, with careful delineation of the columnar order and the entablature. The cult image of Hera is depicted in a hieratic frontal pose, consistent with the votive tradition of the sanctuary. The ethnic legend ϹΑΜΙΩΝ appears in the field, identifying the issuing civic authority.
