Reverse description A hexastyle temple depicted in perspective, its columns supporting an entablature and pediment rendered in fine detail. Within the intercolumniation stands a togate figure of Caracalla facing left, holding a patera in his extended right hand and apparently a scroll or roll in his left, referencing his divine honors as neokoros. The reverse type celebrates the grant of the second neokorate to Laodicea ad Lycum, with the Greek legend disposed in two lines across the field and around the periphery.
