Obverse description Draped and cuirassed laureate bust of Antoninus Pius facing left, seen from the front or rear, wearing paludamentum over cuirass. The portrait follows the standard provincial die style of the Antonine period, with the emperor depicted in military dress. The encircling obverse legend in Greek characters identifies the emperor by his imperial titulature. The die engraving is characteristic of the Lydian provincial workshop at Tralles.
