| Obverse description | Bare-headed, draped bust of Antoninus Pius facing right, wearing the paludamentum (military cloak) fastened at the shoulder. The emperor is depicted with short curly hair and a close-cropped beard rendered in the characteristically Alexandrian style of the period. The partially preserved Greek legend runs along the periphery of the flan. The coin exhibits an irregular flan with a notable chip at the upper right, consistent with hammered provincial coinage of the mid-2nd century AD. |
