Obverse description Laureate, nude bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, with an aegis draped over the left shoulder. The portrait displays the characteristic strong features of Trajanic imperial coinage, rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style. A Greek legend encircles the bust within the field, identifying the emperor with his full titulature. The flan shows the typical irregular fabric associated with Alexandrian bronze production of this period.
