Obverse description Laureate, nude bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, with an aegis draped over the left shoulder, rendered in the vigorous provincial style characteristic of Alexandrian coinage. The portrait displays finely engraved radial laurel wreath over closely cropped hair, with well-defined facial features. A Greek Imperial legend surrounds the effigy along the periphery of the flan, reading ΑΥΤ ΤΡΑΙΑΝ ϹΕΒ ΓΕΡΜ ΔΑΚΙΚ, identifying the emperor with his honorific titles. The flan is broad but irregular in shape, with a dotted border partially visible at the rim.
