| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, rendered in the three-quarter rear perspective characteristic of Alexandrian coinage, with the aegis or paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The portrait displays finely detailed hair beneath the laurel wreath and a strong imperial profile. The obverse legend runs around the periphery in Greek characters, identifying the emperor by his titles.
