| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, depicted nude with an aegis draped over the left shoulder, rendered in the Alexandrian provincial style. The imperial effigy is bold and well-modelled, with the laureate wreath clearly defined atop the head. A Greek legend encircles the bust, running along the periphery of the field. The portrait exhibits the characteristic strong jaw and prominent nose associated with official Trajanic iconography. The flan is broad and slightly irregular, typical of Alexandrian bronze coinage of this period. |
