| 正面描述 | Laureate bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, depicted nude with an aegis draped over the left shoulder, rendered in the bold provincial style characteristic of Alexandrian coinage. The imperial effigy displays finely engraved hair beneath the laurel wreath, with strong facial features in high relief. The surrounding Greek legend runs along the coin's periphery in capital letters. The flan is notably broad and irregular, typical of Egyptian provincial bronze issues of the Trajanic period. |

Year 16 of Trajan's reign coincided with his preparations for the Parthian campaigns, and Alexandria's mint was unusually active supplying the coinage needs of Egypt's military and commercial infrastructure. The Alexandrian bronze series ran on a regnal-year dating system unique among Roman provincial mints, making III#4666.2 precisely placeable within the reign in a way that Roman Imperial issues rarely allow.
