| Beschrijving voorzijde | Half-length bust of the emperor Trajan facing right, nude or lightly draped on the left shoulder, wearing a wreath adorned with ears of grain. The legend surrounding the effigy gives his imperial titulature in Greek characters. The portrait is rendered in the characteristic Trajanic style of Alexandrian provincial coinage, with strong facial features and a slightly idealised treatment. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Ares, the god of war, stands to the right in martial pose, holding a parazonium (short sword) in one hand and a spear in the other. To his right, Athena stands facing with head turned to the left, bearing a shield and spear. The pairing of these two deities on an Alexandrian bronze reflects the military and civic themes prevalent during Trajan's Dacian campaigns. The regnal date appears in the field in Greek numerals. |
