| Obverse description | Laureate head of Emperor Trajan facing right, rendered in the Hellenistic-Roman portrait tradition typical of Alexandrian coinage. The emperor's features are depicted with curled hair beneath a laurel wreath, the neck truncation visible at the lower field. A Greek imperial legend surrounds the effigy, divided on either side of the portrait, reading ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙΣ ΝΕΡ - ΤΡΑΙΑΝ ΣΕΒ ΓΕΡΜ, identifying him as Emperor Caesar Nerva Traianus Augustus Germanicus. The coin shows characteristic green patination and surface wear consistent with its age and bronze alloy. |
