Cyzicus held the title of neokoros — temple warden of the imperial cult — multiple times over, and the city leveraged that status aggressively in its civic coinage under Severus Alexander. The magistrate name carried in this legend, Julius Secundus, grounds the issue within a specific administrative moment rather than a generic reign-span.
