| Obverse description | Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Septimius Severus facing right, with a pronounced curled beard rendered in the characteristic Severan style. The radiate crown features clearly defined spikes emanating from the imperial effigy. The emperor's paludamentum is visible at the truncation of the bust. The circular Greek legend runs along the periphery of the flan. Two holes are pierced through the flan, one at the left and one at the right, indicating ancient or later use as a pendant or mount. |
