Obverse description Radiate bust of Emperor Septimius Severus facing right, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of the Bithynian mint at Nicomedia. The radiate crown is depicted with pointed rays emanating from the head. The imperial effigy is accompanied by a Greek legend arranged around the periphery of the flan, identifying the emperor by his full titulature. The surface exhibits significant wear and a golden-brown patina consistent with the coin's age and bronze composition.
