| Obverse description | Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Septimius Severus facing right, with the emperor's characteristic bearded portrait rendered in the provincial style. The effigy occupies the central field with the Greek imperial titulature legend disposed around the periphery. The portraiture reflects the mature Severan iconography typical of Bithynian civic coinage, with visible traces of the laureate wreath crown above the brow. |
