The two figures are rendered symmetrically within the field, flanking a central axis, with the civic legend of Pergamum distributed around them referencing the strategos Iulius Pollio and the city's status as twice neocorate. The style is characteristic of provincial bronze coinage of Asia Minor under the Severan dynasty. |
