| 背面描述 | Zeus enthroned left, rendered in the classical style, seated upon a high-backed throne. The deity extends his right hand to hold a small figure of Nike, while his left hand rests upon a long upright sceptre. The god is partially draped, with himation gathered about his lower body. A continuous Greek legend encircles the field, recording the name of the local strategos Attalos and the ethnic of the Perperenians. |

Perperene was a minor Mysian settlement whose civic coinage under Septimius Severus names the local strategos Attalos as presiding magistrate — one of the few administrative traces this obscure town left in the historical record. The city's output under the Severan dynasty is sparse, and the magistrate series it did produce is poorly represented in major collections, making die linkage studies across surviving specimens genuinely difficult.
