| Beschrijving keerzijde | Zeus enthroned to left, his body in three-quarter view, holding a patera in his lowered right hand and an upright sceptre in his raised left hand. Behind the throne stands an eagle facing forward with wings spread and head turned to the left, a common attribute of Zeus in Pisidian civic iconography. The civic legend of Apollonia Mordiaeum is disposed around the type in two lines. The composition is characteristic of the Zeus Lydios or Zeus Megistos cult type frequently attested in the coinage of Pisidian cities under the Roman Empire. |
