Obverse description Bare-headed bust of Marcus Aurelius or Lucius Verus, draped in cuirass and paludamentum, facing right and seen from the rear, with a long beard characteristic of the Antonine period. The imperial effigy is rendered in the provincial style typical of the Cyzicus mint. The encircling Greek legend identifies the emperor, with the erroneous attribution ΟΥΗΡΟϹ suggesting possible confusion or dual-reign issue. The bust treatment, with its pronounced musculature and military dress, reflects the official Roman imperial iconographic canon adapted for provincial coinage.
