Obverse description Draped and cuirassed imperial bust to the right, seen from the rear, with paludamentum fastened at the shoulder, identifiable as Marcus Aurelius or Lucius Verus by the long beard; the effigy is rendered in the characteristic provincial style of Cyzicus, with bold relief modelling of the military dress. The encircling Greek legend runs along the periphery of the flan.
