| Obverse description | Draped bust of Kore Soteira (Persephone the Saviour) facing right, her hair adorned with a corn wreath and wearing a necklace. The bust is rendered in the local Provincial Greek style, with flowing drapery visible at the shoulder. The encircling Greek legend reads ΚοΡΗ ϹΩΤΕΙΡΑ ΚΥΖΙΚΗΝΩΝ, identifying the deity as the patron goddess of Cyzicus. The corn wreath is a characteristic attribute of Kore in her chthonic and civic role as protectress of the city. |
