| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Marcus Aurelius facing right, depicted with a long beard and long curling locks characteristic of his mature portraiture, wearing cuirass and paludamentum, the figure seen from the rear in a three-quarter perspective. The imperial effigy is rendered in the confident, high-relief style typical of Antonine provincial bronzes. The encircling obverse legend is set in the field surrounding the bust. |

| Reverse description | Demeter standing left upon an ornate base decorated with a floral pattern, holding a flaming torch in one hand and ears of corn in the other. Flanking her, two river gods recline on either side: Kaikos to the left and Keteios to the right, each facing inward toward the central figure, holding a branch and cornucopia and resting upon a water urn. In the lower field, poppies and ears of corn fill the exergual space, reinforcing the agricultural and chthonic symbolism of the composition. The reverse legend naming the strategos and the city of the Elaeitans is distributed around the design. |
