| Obverse description | Laureate, cuirassed and paludamentum-draped bust of Emperor Marcus Aurelius, with medium-length beard, facing right and seen from the rear. The effigy presents the emperor in full military dress, combining the cuirass with the general's cloak (paludamentum) fastened at the shoulder.
