| Obverse description | Bare laureate bust of Emperor Marcus Aurelius facing left, draped at the shoulder, rendered in the Roman provincial style. The imperial effigy displays the characteristic bearded portrait of the emperor, with laurel wreath clearly indicated. The circular Greek legend surrounds the bust along the periphery of the flan, reading ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙ Μ ΑΥΡ ΑΝΤΩΝΕΙΝΟϹ. The flan is broad but irregular, with some surface encrustation consistent with the coin's age and burial history. |
