Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, portrayed from behind (seen from the rear), with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The imperial effigy displays characteristic Hadrianic portraiture with a short beard. The surrounding Greek legend identifies the emperor as Caesar Trajan Hadrian Augustus, arranged in two segments around the bust.
