Reverse description Antinous depicted as a heroic equestrian figure, nude or semi-draped, riding a horse advancing to the right, holding a caduceus in his extended hand — an attribute associating him with Hermes-Thoth in the Alexandrian syncretic cult. The composition fills the flan, with a ground line beneath the horse. The date legend L ΚΑ (regnal year 21, corresponding to 136–137 AD) appears in the field to the left and right of the rider.
