| Beschrijving keerzijde | A Greco-Egyptian temple façade with two columns frames the seated figure of Isis, crowned with a solar disc flanked by cow horns and double plumes, enthroned facing right. Resting upon her knee is the infant Harpocrates, who wears the double crown (pschent) and raises his right hand in the characteristic gesture of divine childhood. The composition reflects the syncretic religious iconography prevalent in Alexandrian coinage of the Hadrianic period. The regnal date appears in the field as the principal reverse legend. |
