(Translation: Emperor Caesar Trajan Hadrian Augustus)
Reverse description Bust of Hermanubis facing right, wearing a kalathos (basket crown) surmounted by a wreath, combining the iconography of the Egyptian god Anubis with Hellenic Hermes in the syncretic deity characteristic of Alexandrian religious coinage. A palm branch is placed to the right of the bust, a symbol of victory and divine favor. The regnal date legend appears in the field, indicating the eighteenth year of Hadrian's reign in Egypt. The reverse composition is clean and well-centered, consistent with Alexandrian bronze issues of the second century AD.
