| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the rear, with the paludamentum visible over the left shoulder. The imperial effigy displays finely detailed hair beneath the laurel wreath, characteristic of Alexandrian portraiture of the Hadrianic period. The encircling Greek legend runs along the periphery of the flan, which shows the typical irregular edge of a hammered provincial bronze. |
