| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, with drapery visible over the left shoulder. The emperor is depicted with his characteristic short curly beard and hair rendered in fine detail beneath the laurel wreath. A bold Greek legend surrounds the effigy, divided across the field in two parts. The portrait displays the high-relief modelling typical of Alexandrian bronze coinage of the Hadrianic period. |
