| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Hadrian facing right, with aegis on the left shoulder, rendered in the provincial Egyptian style typical of Alexandrian coinage. The legend is disposed in two groups around the bust, reading ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙ ΤΡΑΙ to the right and ΑΔΡΙΑ ϹΕΒ to the left, abbreviating the full imperial titulature Αὐτοκράτωρ Καῖσαρ Τραϊανὸς Ἁδριανὸς Σεβαστός. The flan is broad and irregular, characteristic of Alexandrian bronze issues of this period. Surface shows a dark brown patina with areas of green encrustation consistent with extended burial. |

| Reverse description | A triumphal arch depicted in three-quarter architectural elevation, with a central arched gateway flanked by two smaller openings, surmounted by a quadriga bearing a standing imperial figure, all rendered within the field of the broad irregular flan. The regnal date L Δ (Year 4) appears in the field, corresponding to the fourth year of Hadrian's reign in the Alexandrian reckoning (119–120 CE). The type is closely associated with celebratory issues commemorating Hadrian's building activities or imperial ideology as promoted through Alexandrian civic coinage. The reverse field is worn but the architectural elements of the arch and the quadriga group above remain identifiable. |
