The effigy displays the characteristic portrait features of Hadrian, including a short beard and laurel wreath. The surrounding legend, partially legible due to wear, reads ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙ ΤΡΑΙ ΑΔΡΙΑ ϹΕΒ, identifying the emperor as Caesar Trajan Hadrian Augustus. An altar is positioned to the left of the temple composition. The reverse field is typical of Alexandrian civic and religious iconography, celebrating the principal cult of Alexandria. The regnal date legend L Ϛ (Year 6) appears in the field, corresponding to the sixth year of Hadrian's reign in the Egyptian calendar (121–122 AD). |
