| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Elagabalus facing right, depicted from a three-quarter rear perspective, a characteristic presentation common in the coinage of Pergamum during his reign. The imperial effigy displays a laurel wreath upon the head, with the folds of the paludamentum and the scales or ridges of the cuirass rendered in relief. A dotted border frames the entire obverse field. The Greek legend encircles the bust, identifying the emperor by his official titulature. |
