The imperial effigy is executed in the characteristic Severan style, with bold modeling of the features. A circular Greek legend surrounds the bust in the outer field, naming the emperor by his full titulature. The coin surface bears a dark brown patina with areas of green encrustation consistent with prolonged burial. |
