| Beschrijving keerzijde | Standing frontal figure of Kore (Persephone), the tutelary goddess of Sardis, depicted between two facing tetrastyle temples shown in three-quarter perspective, each surmounted by a wreath symbolising the city's neocorate status. The goddess is rendered in formal divine stance within the intercolumniation, flanked symmetrically by the two temple façades whose columned porticos face one another. The composition emphasises Sardis's double neocorate honour, reflected in the reverse legend encircling the scene. |
