| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Antoninus Pius facing right, the emperor depicted with a short beard in the mature Antonine style. The effigy is rendered in high relief typical of Alexandrian provincial coinage. A circular Greek legend surrounds the portrait, running along the rim of the flan. The flan is irregular and somewhat broad, characteristic of Egyptian provincial bronzes of this period. |
