Obverse description Bare-headed bust of Antoninus Pius, draped with paludamentum, facing right and rendered from a three-quarter rear perspective, with the emperor's characteristic short, curled beard and neatly coiffed hair visible in fine relief. The effigy occupies the majority of the flan, with the drapery of the military cloak rendered across the truncation of the bust. A Greek imperial legend runs around the periphery of the field, partially visible due to the irregular flan. The portrait is executed in the provincial style characteristic of the Cyzicus mint, with bold, competent workmanship typical of mid-Antonine civic coinage.
