| Reverse description | Dikaiosyne, the personification of Justice, seated left on a high-backed throne, her figure rendered with careful drapery folds in the Alexandrian provincial style. In her extended right hand she holds a pair of scales, the symbol of equitable judgment, while her left arm cradles a cornucopia, emblematic of abundance and beneficent rule. The date legend appears in the left field, recording the regnal year of the Alexandrian era. The reverse field shows the green patination and irregular flan characteristic of large Alexandrian bronze tetradrachm-module pieces. |
