| Obverse description | Laureate head of Antoninus Pius facing right, with traces of drapery visible at the shoulder truncation. The portrait is rendered in the typical Alexandrian provincial style, with naturalistic facial features and a laurel wreath crown. The surrounding Greek legend is partially legible and runs clockwise around the field. The flan is slightly irregular in shape, as is characteristic of hammered Alexandrian bronze coinage of the period. |
