The encircling Greek legend occupies the outer field, partially obscured by heavy patination and surface wear. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, characteristic of Alexandrian drachm-sized bronzes of the mid-second century. The portrait, though worn, retains the characteristic broad facial features associated with Antoninus Pius in provincial coinage of Egypt. |
