| Obverse description | Laureate head of Emperor Antoninus Pius facing left, with traces of drapery visible at the shoulder truncation. The portrait is rendered in the characteristic Antonine style, with a naturalistic rendering of the emperor's features. The surrounding Greek legend reads ΑΥΤ Κ Τ ΑΙΛ ΑΔΡ ΑΝΤωΝΙΝΟϹ ϹΕΒ ΕΥϹ, identifying the emperor with his full titulature. The flan is broad and irregular, typical of Alexandrian bronze coinage of this period, with the surface now covered in a dark brown patina. |
